Email marketing is a direct way to tell customers about business news and services. Emails are sent to a group of people who have signed up to learn more about a certain business. You can use email marketing to make sure that your most loyal fans know about updates and new products. Email needs to be a part of your marketing strategy. It can help you get more leads, spread the word about your brand, and keep customers interested between purchases.
Benefits of Email Marketing
Even though it may seem like email is dead, I can assure you that it is still alive and well. Here are a few recent numbers about emails:
- There are 4 billion daily email users.
- 64% of B2B marketers say their email marketing strategy was effective for meeting business goals in 2021.
- 77% of marketers have seen an increase in email engagement over the last 12 months.
As you can see, email marketing works very well, and billions of people check their email every day. It's important to get on the email train. If you don't, you're missing out on sales and growth that go up and up. Here are some more good reasons for you to use email.
- Emails provide more value to your audience.
The more useful you are to a group, the more they will trust you. This trust will become a leader in the market over time. The end goal is, of course, to make your business respected. The more people trust what you know, the more likely they are to become your followers.
- Emails create communication with your audience
You can use email to ask questions and get answers from your audience, whether you ask them to reply directly to your email or fill out a form. Email is a great way for you and your customers to stay in touch.
Everyone wants more people to visit their website. Calls to action in your emails are one way to do this. Ask your readers to click on certain links to help bring more people to that page. As you build a strong email list, you'll be able to boost the authority of your website.
How to start email marketing
Email marketing is easy to get started with, and it's more important than ever. Here are five things you can do to get started with email marketing.
Set up an email list.
Making an email list is the first step in email marketing. You can help grow this list by using the people who follow you on social media. A strong lead magnet is my favorite way to get people who follow an account to sign up for it.
A lead magnet is a free offer in exchange for an email address. The more appealing your offer is, the more likely it is that your email list will grow.
Choose a good subject line.
When you're ready to start writing your emails, you'll want to start with a strong subject line. When someone opens their email, the first thing they see is the subject line. Before I write an email, I like to write three or four different subject lines. After I'm done, I go back to those different versions and make the best-sounding one fit the content even better.
Write all your headings.
Before you write your email, it's also a good idea to use headings to separate the different parts. These are the most important things you want to say in your email. Your outline will help you keep your content on track and make it harder for it to get off track.
Write your content.
Once you have some different topics and headings written out, you are ready to write your content. Be clear about what you're saying and try to cut down on filler. When you write too much in an email, people are much more likely to click out. Be sure to say what you want to say quickly.
Send emails at the right time.
Now that you've written and formatted your whole email, you need to decide when to send it. Even though each market is different, Wednesdays and Fridays tend to have the highest open rates. Try different times on different parts of your audience. So, you can start to see patterns and get better at when to act.
Measure results, repeat, and refine.
After you send your email, check back in a few days to see what data you can see. Did version A of the email with subject B do the best? Once you can see patterns in your data, it will be easier to make a better plan and write copy that sells more.
Different types of emails
I think you should use a few different kinds of emails in your marketing. When you're just starting out with email marketing, it's best to keep the types of emails you send to a minimum and work on getting better at writing copy that gets people to buy.
Welcome emails
When someone visits your website and signs up for your email list, they should get a welcome email. This email is mostly an introduction to you and your business. Your content should give a general idea of what you will offer through your marketing.
Newsletter emails
Through your newsletter emails, you can always stay in touch with your customers. As soon as someone joins your list, you should tell them when you'll send emails. Your subscribers should know how often you send out emails, whether it's once a month, four times a month, or more.
Offer emails
Offer emails are the last ones you should send. In these emails, you offer your subscribers something they can do. You should only send your offer emails to people who have signed up for them. The goal is to make the people on your list feel like they are special and keep them on your list.
